Vuksanović: Bemax went full speed ahead with the completion of works on the Mojkovac – Berane section, works on the Jaz – Tivat boulevard are progressing well
Works on the Tivat – Jaz Boulevard are progressing well and for now there is no postponement of the formal deadline for the completion of the works, which is January 2026, said the director of the Traffic Administration, Radomir Vuksanović.
Vuksanović also referred to the asphalting of the main road on the Mojkovac – Berane section, saying that the Bemax company went “full steam ahead to finish the works” yesterday.
Bulebar Jaz – Tivat is the most important traffic road in Montenegro, the busiest road in Montenegro, it is a decades-long problem of the state, the Government of Montenegro and the Traffic Administration, considering the traffic jams we have had especially in the last six, seven years. We tackled that problem and started the reconstruction. What I can officially say is that the formal deadline for the completion of the works is January next year, and I must point out that we have not yet received a request from the contractor for an extension of the deadline – said Vuksanović for RTCG.
The contractor is the Chinese company ShandongThe contractor is the Chinese company Shandong, while the subcontractor is the company Bemax.
Vuksanović reminds us of the problems in the earlier course of work, when numerous additional installations were made “in the hull of this road”.

We have plans, if the Municipality of Kotor submits to us in a timely manner that we should proceed with the construction of fecal sewage, we are waiting for their response. We are also waiting for the response of the Municipality of Budva regarding hydrotechnical installations on the part covered by that municipality. If a request arrives from the contractor, it will be considered and we will see if there will be an extension of the deadline and if there is any justification for it. What stands for now is that it is January – said Vuksanović, guest on RTCG’s Morning Program.
He says that the work on that section is progressing well.
Considering the conditions in which they are taking place and the traffic that functions on this route – emphasized the Director of the Traffic Administration.
He also referred to the works on the section Mojkovac – Berane, where the contractor is the consortium Štrabarg – Bemax.
Bemax started yesterday, it went full steam ahead, to finish these works. And our plan is to finish the works by the new year – says Vuksanović.
He pointed out that this is the longest section that has been reconstructed so far in Montenegro.
I hope that the deadline will be respected – he added.
We would like to remind you that the asphalting of the remaining section of the highway Berana – Ribarevina, 17 kilometers long, started yesterday from the direction of Berana from the roundabout towards Bijelo Polje. With these works, one of the largest infrastructure projects in the north of Montenegro, worth more than 36 million euros, enters the final phase.
