Vuksanović: Asphalted road Berane – Ribarevina, works in the final phase
Since the beginning of September, over 35,000 tons of asphalt have been installed, Vuksanović said, adding that the works are being carried out by the companies Bemax and Strabag AG.
The Minister of Transport, Maja Vukićević, and the Director of the Traffic Administration, Radomir Vuksanović, visited today the works on the reconstruction of the Ribarevina – Poda – Berane road. Asphalting works are currently being carried out on this pot, which means that the project is entering the final phase.
“We are witnessing the complexity of this project, especially if we take into account the technical demands and carrying out work under traffic. However, I am sure that even today the images of the asphalt on the entire route leave positive impressions. I thank the citizens for their understanding so far, because it is clear that work on large infrastructure projects inevitably affects the slower flow of traffic and occasional stoppages. With the completion of the reconstruction of this road, we will have a modern and safe traffic direction, which will enable more comfortable, safer and more economical travel, both for our citizens and for transit traffic,” Vukićević said.
The Director of the Traffic Administration, Radomir Vuksanović, reminded that the entire 30-kilometer long section is being reconstructed at the same time, which makes this project the largest in the field of road infrastructure in the country.
“Works on this road are entering the final phase. Since the beginning of September, over 35 thousand tons of asphalt have been installed and the entire section from Beran to Ribarevino, about 30 kilometers long, is now covered with asphalt,” announced Vuksanović and added that the works are being carried out by a consortium of Strabag AG and Bemax doo.
The reconstruction of the Ribarevina – Poda – Berana road is financed through the funds of the Traffic Administration, with the support of the European Investment Bank.
