Vrulja – Mijakovići Road: Insulation works on both bridges next week
The works on the Vrulja – Mijakovići road are proceeding according to plan. The plan, as announced by the company “Bemax”, is to start insulation works on both bridges on that section next week.
“At the Vrulja – Mijakovići construction site, work is currently being carried out on the edge beams and parapet walls of the supports for the installation of expansion joints on bridge number 1, on which the complete span structure with a length of 126 meters has been completed,” said Nikola Zejak, Bemax’s coordinator for engineering structures.
Three units completed on bridge number 2, which is 156 meters long
“Reinforcement works are currently being carried out on bridge number 2, preparing for the concreting of the fourth span. Three units have been completed and the plan is to complete all concrete for the span, or load-bearing structure of bridge number 2, by Monday, October 20,” Zejak pointed out.
He announced that the plan is to start insulation works on both bridges from next week.
“In parallel with this, the tubular culverts on the open route are being completed. Tamping, or preparation for the continuation of asphalt works, has also continued,” Zejak said.
As a reminder, the Vrulja – Mijakovići section is seven and a half kilometers long and connects the regional road Slijepac most – Trlica with the Pljevlja – Đurđevića Tara highway.
After the completion of the works, a significant improvement in the traffic connections of Pljevlja with the cities in the north is expected.
