The reconstruction of the road Bioča – Petnjica has begun
The reconstruction of the road Bioča – Petnjica has begun, announced the President of the Municipality of Petnjica Samir Agović.
“This road is extremely important for the future development of this environment, because its construction will additionally create conditions for the utilization of all agricultural and tourist potentials, but also create conditions for the opening of new production plants”, said Agović.
As he added, this route has been a priority of the local administration since the establishment of the Municipality and it is a great joy that this project has finally come to fruition.
“The local administration managed to secure the project, which was financed by the former Public Works Administration, headed by Rešad Nuhodžić at the time, and at that time it cost over 80,000 euros. After several years, although everything was done according to the regulations, the Local Administration’s candidacy for financing this project from the capital budget did not get the green light, however, we did not give up and year after year we referred this project as a proposal to the capital budget of the Government of Montenegro. Laying the foundation stone for factory in Ljesnica, was the reason for the arrival of Prime Minister Spajić, and on that occasion the Prime Minister himself understood that this road direction is of vital importance for our residents, so thanks to our argumentation and the more than clear views of citizens, investors, he promised that the construction of this road will be a priority for funding from the capital budget”, stated Agović.
The Traffic Administration, he adds, very quickly provided redesign according to EUROCODE, which opened the door for this project.
“It is interesting that the beginning of the construction of this road is related to the period of three decades ago, with the support of the Ministry of Health, the local population, the diaspora, the municipalities of Berane, Bijelo Polje and the Government of Montenegro. The road in question was broken at that time and made ready for traffic. Time has shown that this road has an exceptional frequency, and therefore the importance for this area, so it is more than natural that we persistently sought the modernization of this road. I am also grateful to the municipalities of Bijelo Polje and Berane, which supported our initiative, so we addressed to the Government of Montenegro for support. Our efforts, patience and persistence have obviously paid off, we are grateful to all the deputies and institutions that supported the construction of this road”, said Agović.
He emphasized that the estimated value of this road is 11.7 million euros, the length is about 9 km and the construction period is 18 months.
“I hope that, if there are no unforeseen problems, the deadline for the completion of the work, which is being carried out by our renowned company BEMAX, will be met. I ask all citizens to be patient while the work is being carried out and to help all those whose property is tied to the construction of this road. This road direction will be a transit road in the perspective, according to our plans for the future construction of the Petnjica-Tutin road, traffic will be directed along this route, because it is the closest connection to the Pešter Plateau with our country and the future corridors of highways and future expressways.
We believe in better days and a more dynamic development of our region thanks to our vision, all the efforts we invest in the construction of modern road routes, and all with the support of the state of Montenegro and international partners”, concluded Agović.
