The installation of the girders on the bridge on the Mijakovići – Vrulja road has begun
On the section of the road Vrulja – Mijakovići, one of the important roads for the north of Montenegro, the assembly of overstressed girders on bridge number one began today. This is the most demanding phase of the works on this seven and a half kilometer route, where a total of two bridges are being built.
Bridge number one will be 126 meters long, with four spans, while bridge number two will be 156 meters long and have five spans. Both bridges are designed in a beam system, with a monolithic concrete slab 20 centimeters thick. The highest height of the pillars reaches 20 meters, and the width is 11 meters, with two traffic lanes and sidewalks.

As explained by the company Bemax, which is carrying out the work, after the installation of the supports is completed, the upper slab of the bridge will be installed in the next fifteen days.
Due to the inaccessible terrain and the need to prepare special mounting platforms, these two bridges represent the biggest organizational and technical challenge on the entire route. Large cranes were engaged in the work, because the supports are 30 and 35 meters long and weigh 55 and 65 tons, so every step is precisely planned – Ivan Jelovac, the head of the construction site, told TV E.

As a reminder, the section Vrulje – Mijakovići is seven and a half kilometers long and connects the regional road Sljepač most – Trlica with the highway Pljevlja – Đurđevića Tara.
After the completion of the works, a significant improvement in traffic connections between Pljevlja and cities in the north is expected, and the contractor announces that the work will be completed by the end of October.
