Bemax: We didn’t wait for a call for help, when the country is burning – it’s not the time for excuses
Since the beginning of the fire in Piperi, along with the competent services, the company Bemax has been constantly on the ground.
In today’s announcement, they emphasize that they decided not to wait for a call for help.
“There are moments that don’t ask us who we are and what we do – but what we are ready to do for others. Moments that reveal the essence of a society. While Montenegro is fighting a fire that threatens homes, nature and human lives, the most valuable thing we have shines at the same time – solidarity. These days, while the mountains are burning and smoke covers the sky, while hundreds of firefighters, soldiers, policemen and volunteers tirelessly try to contain the fiery element for days, they come to the surface those who don’t look on the sidelines. Those who react. Who act,” they pointed out.
As they add, their cisterns with water are in the most vulnerable parts of Podgorica’s surroundings, but also on the coast.
“One of those names that is repeated on the ground and among people is Bemax – a company that decided not to wait for a call for help, but to anticipate it. Their water tankers have been deployed all over the country for days – from Piper and Kuch, to the coast. Their support is not only technical – it is moral. It is a reminder that no one should be left alone in front of the fire,” they state.
This, they add, is not the time for silence.
“In the moments when Canadians and helicopters arrive from all over Europe, and while fires engulf dozens of localities, Bemax is here – among its own. Present. Reliable. Ready. It’s not a time for excuses. Everyone, from institutions to individuals, has a role to play. Because when the country is on fire, the responsibility is collective. Bemax set an example. Because a hand extended when it’s most difficult – is remembered forever. But so is the absence of a hand”, they concluded.
