Bemax: Some media outlets are publishing untruths, Mijajlović was never the owner or co-owner of the company
They reacted because, as they stated, none of the journalists from the multiple media outlets that published the information contacted them to verify the credibility of the allegations.
The Bemax company has spoken out after several media outlets published an article in which businessman Aleksandar Mijajlović was identified as the former co-owner of the company. Bemax says that these allegations are false.
“The article originally published on Radio Free Europe (RFE) and reprinted in several Montenegrin media outlets contained incorrect and unverified information that “Aleksandar Mijajlović was a co-owner of Bemax for years”, that he “left the company in 2023”, and that he sold “a stake for 1.5 million euros”. None of the information you published in the article is true”, Bemax stressed.
They reacted because, as they stated, none of the journalists from several media outlets that published the information contacted them to verify the authenticity of the allegations.
“Aleksandar Mijajlović was never the owner, co-owner or employee of the Bemax company, as stated in the article “The Case of Aleksandar Mijajlović: Accusations of Misuse of Information for Personal and Benefit of the Former Government in Montenegro”, published on RFE/RL on October 14, 2025. Accordingly, the information that Mijajlović left Bemax in 2023 and sold his stake for 1.5 million euros, which was published in the same article and which, during the writing of the article, they were not interested in and checked by Bemax, is not true, since he could not sell a stake that he never had, nor leave a company in which he was not a member,” Bemax said.
