Bemax arrived in Šavnik
The workers and construction machines of the Bemax company arrived in Šavnik this morning, where in the following days they will help repair the damage caused at the end of last week by floods caused by large amounts of rain and storms that hit the region.
Although the President of the Municipality of Šavnik Jugoslav Jakić informed the competent state institutions about the situation in Šavnik on Friday morning, no help was sent to them, instead the municipal services and citizens solved the problems themselves in the past few days. In the meantime, they evacuated about thirty locals and ten tourists who were staying there from the village of Komarnica.
According to the photos M portal received from Šavnik, the approach to the Nevidio canyon, where the municipality started to build a catering facility, was almost completely destroyed. The situation is not much better in other places in Šavnik that have been affected by floods.
Bemax is the first private company to provide assistance to the Municipality of Šavnik, the municipalities of Bar and Bijelo Polje have announced financial and human assistance, and M portal unofficially learns that the Capital of Cetinje, in communication with the President of the Municipality of Šavnik, Jugoslav Jakić, is agreeing on the types of assistance.
No assistance was announced from state institutions, and representatives of the Ministry of Interior and the Army of Montenegro announced that they would “visit the field” in Savnik today.
