The goal of the project, as stated, is to adjust the operation of the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant to the requirements of EU and Montenegrin legislation when it comes to industrial emissions for plants such as Thermal Power Plant, i.e. enabling the TE to continue its work in the next 15 years while meeting environmental standards.
The main expected result of the environmental reconstruction project is the continuation of the operation of the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant for the next 15 years, but with the reduction of negative impacts on air, water and soil quality through the implementation of the best available techniques for preventing and controlling emissions that arise during the exploitation of the thermal power plant in compliance with EU and domestic regulations – he adds in the document.
